Digital Maturity Assessment

Non-corporate Commonwealth entities are required to complete the Digital Maturity Assessment every 2 years, commencing March 2026. 

• Other Commonwealth entities can choose to participate on a voluntary basis.
• National Intelligence Community agencies are excluded from the requirement.

Agencies wishing to seek an exemption should contact digitalmaturity@dta.gov.au.

The Digital Maturity Assessment will provide a comprehensive view of digital capability across government, revealing underlying challenges and opportunities for uplift. 

By harnessing insights, the APS can close common gaps and collaborate on shared initiatives.
