Standard 5: Enablers

For this section we want your agency to consider and define the key enablers that underpin the delivery of your DIP.

Workforce

Define key workforce roles required to deliver your DIP (for example digital, data, cyber, cloud, AI).

State whether your agency has sufficient workforce capability to deliver the plan.

Explain any critical skills gaps and outline measures underway to address them.

Identify any emerging or future roles expected across the medium to long-term horizon.

External assets and dependencies

Identify any external assets or dependencies your agency relies on to deliver services.

Key vendors

Identify any key vendors to deliver critical digital services or core platforms (for example ERP, HR, finance or case management systems), for either in-flight or planned activities.

Outline the length of time that these critical vendors have
been in use and what measures your agency is putting in place to reduce reliance.

Policies and frameworks

Describe the main policies, strategies and frameworks that shape digital investment planning. This includes internal
strategies (for example digital, ICT, data or AI strategies) and relevant whole-of-government strategies and policies.

Where relevant, your agency may also note how the DIP reflects expectations for safe, responsible use of AI.

Your agency may refer to the Glossary for examples and definitions.

Standard 6: Risks

Connect with the digital community

Share, build or learn digital experience and skills with training and events, and collaborate with peers across government.
